PST and Synergy web sites get new database driven Exhibition listing. With a full program of trade shows booked for 2008 it was necessary to automate the display of the listing. Not only did the client require the trade shows to be listed in chronological order but on more than one web site. PST and Synergy are two separate trading companies although linked by the same owner, each site required some but not all of the shows displayed. This was further complicated by the two corporate sites running on two different servers and although it is possible to access external databases, sever security restricted this. The solution was a database display and run on one server then included and display in iFrames on the other. The result is a fully automated display that can turn on an item on a give day, display for a set period of time, then at the end of the run turn off and hide the item.
The result is this:

Monday 3rd September 2007 a new dynamic PST site replaces the old HTML pages…
The old pages are still available for access for archived links in search engines, but will over time be phased out as the new site is cached. Take a look, tell me what you think?

The move to PHP templated pages styled with CCS has give Polymer Systems Technology a far more cohesive web site with a detailed search function. Healthcare and Engineering chemists can now access an ever growing database of silicone based products, searching by section or even technical requirements.
New sections are still being added…
like CV Film Adhesive, a range of Specialty Silicones and Silicone for the cosmetics industry!
So more still to come…
